Sexual Harassment Policy
- Mirage Spa Education Inc. is committed to the prevention of and appropriate response to sexual misconduct.
- Sexual misconduct refers to a spectrum of non-consensual sexual contact and behavior, including sexual assault, sexual exploitation, sexual harassment, stalking, indecent exposure, voyeurism, the distribution of sexually explicit photographs or videos without consent, attempts to commit sexual misconduct, and threats to commit sexual misconduct.
- A Complaint of sexual misconduct is distinct from a Report. An individual may disclose or complain without making a formal Report. A Report is a formal notification of an incident accompanied by a request for action.
- A student making a Complaint will be provided with resolution options and, where appropriate, accommodation, and will not be required or pressured to make a Report.
- A Complaint involving a student must be submitted in writing to the Director of Mirage Spa Education at info@mirageeducation.com.
- The institution will acknowledge receipt of a Complaint within five (5) business days. The Director will conduct any enquiries or investigations necessary to determine whether the concerns are substantiated. Within ten (10) business days, Mirage Spa Education Inc. will provide a written resolution and accommodation letter. All documentation must be signed and submitted to head office by all parties.
- Retaliation, reprisals, or threats of retaliation related to a Complaint or Report are strictly prohibited.
- All processes undertaken under this policy are guided by principles of administrative fairness. All individuals involved will be treated with dignity and respect.
- All information related to a Complaint is confidential and will not be shared without written consent, except where there is an imminent risk of serious harm, a risk to others, a significant risk to the institutional community, or where disclosure is necessary to ensure procedural fairness.
